Up to no good

Well, at work the other night-like most of our shifts-one of us (ME) decided to pull a prank on a couple of my crew members. The ladder truck went out on a call, so I felt I needed to make use of some soda cans in the recycle bin by placing them under the legs of their beds. It worked like a champ!! About 10:30 that night the "truckies" came in to go to bed. There was a loud commotion as the beds fell off the cans followed by a string of profanities that would make a sailor blush. Pretending to be asleep, it was really hard to keep from laughing out loud - I didn't want to blow my cover. But even though the truckies are known to be kinda' retarded, they must have figured it out because when i woke up the next morning and opened my locker, all of the soda cans-plus dozens more-fell out around my feet. Once again, there was a loud commotion followed by a string of profanities that would make a sailor blush!

I think we're losing our minds!!!

Well, I don't know if I'm insane or stupid or both, but we just bought 2 four wheelers. It gives us the excuse to get off our lazy asses and get out see the countryside. Our first trip will probably be this coming weekend if we can manage to get everything in order. I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with the wife and kids out in gods country, who knows, maybe the kids will actually come out well-rounded in the end? I just want the kids to know that there is more to life than T.V. and video games - both of which I have a special place for in my heart, so I really can't talk.
I am staring down the barrel at turning 40 in a few years, and I feel like life has been trying to sneak past me. Well I guess we are going to grab it by the tail and take the wild ride. GOD HELP US ALL :)

My first blog!!

Well, I don't know where to start. I have never had a blog before and didn't really know much about it until Jenn got me interested.

As you can probably guess by the title of this blog, I am not thrilled about my residence in Utah. But I guess I try to make the best of it. My Kids are here, my career is here, and I'm just getting to damned old to make major life changes at this point.

The picture of the crackheads was taken by me at work. I was sitting in the Fire Engine waiting for the paramedics on my crew to finish up what they were doing , when I looked over and saw the graffiti on the wall above the model citizens in our district. I laughed out loud and scrambled to get my camera for the priceless shot. They were totally oblivious to what was written on the wall behind them.
